Professor Josh Gubler

Joshua Gubler is an assistant professor of Political Science at BYU where he teaches courses on the Middle East, research methods, and other topics. His research focuses on intergroup cooperation and conflict, with particular emphasis on conflict in the Middle East. Prior to coming to BYU, he was a visiting research fellow at The Hebrew University in Jerusalem. He has lived and researched in Syria, Jordan, Lebanon, Egypt, Israel, Palestine, and Saudi Arabia. He received his PhD from the University of Michigan in 2011, has consulted for the World Bank, and has published research in a variety of outlets.
